Hi, I'm Chloe
Welcome!
I’m a BACP qualified counsellor & therapist and a final year Counselling Psychologist in training, enrolled on a doctoral programme. I take a psychology-informed approach in my work and have a track record of helping clients overcome emotional/psychological difficulties, and challenging life situations through compassionate and effective therapeutic interventions.
Why counselling may help you?
I have experience supporting clients with a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, psychosomatic symptoms, speaking difficulties, intense mood swings, relationship difficulties, such as intimacy issues, break-ups, limerence, divorce, and workplace issues, such as stress and burnout. I embrace a fully inclusive ethos in my practice and have achieved great results working with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds, using a culturally sensitive, LGBTQ+ and neuro-affirming approach.
I see counselling as a highly collaborative journey, and I strive to offer a safe and non-judgemental space where all your concerns and worries can be safely disclosed and worked on. I aim to offer my clients a genuine understanding, true compassion and a strong commitment to tackle life's difficulties together. I am often praised by clients for being a great listener with sharp ears who can pick up subtle cues that are typically overlooked in everyday conversation. Those cues often turn out to be great catalysts for breakthroughs in therapy. I also adopt a trauma-informed approach in my work and have strong experience working with clients who have experienced physical, psychological or relational trauma.
Through my own life experience and study, I have come to realise that the many problems we face in life, although seemingly unrelated, often lead to the same root cause and we often carry on reacting to events unconsciously in a familiar pattern that may no longer serve us. Counselling offers an unique opportunity for us to come together to explore and reflect on your unique life events past and present, so we can uncover all these underlying emotions and buried memories and in the process lessening their impact on us so we can carry on living life more freely.
Benefits of Counselling with Me
Therapy is fundamentally a conversation with a purpose and my conversational style is warm, intuitive and insightful. I practice active listening in the session and I ask thoughtful questions that will prompt deeper understanding and reflection. I believe insights emerge through active dialoguing and our conversation will be guided by the following three key objectives:
-
Clarity - I will support and guide our conversation in such a way that you will gain more clarity in your speech and thought patterns. The renewed clarity will also help you to become more aware of your automatic/reactive thoughts and behaviour patterns and prompt you to re-evaluate and act more intentionally going forward.
-
Purpose - Through our conversation, I will help you to identify and unveil you core values and what truly matters so you can go on living a more meaningful life; guided and anchored by your core values and beliefs.
-
Transformation - Our conversation is just a starting point and I am interested in supporting you translating the insights gleaned from therapy into real, tangible benefits outside the therapy room. I see real change in your life outside the therapy room being the ultimate marker of the success of therapy.

The way I work
Although I am highly trained professionally, my practice is fundamentally underscored by key humanistic values such as compassion, fairness and deep respect for dignity and human suffering. I believe the most important ingredients in a successful therapeutic outcome are trust and equality, coming from both sides, and I strive to promote trust, compassion and equality in my practice. I have experience working with both adults and adolescents.
My training equips me to deal with a wide range of life issues such as relationship breakdowns, workplace stress, life and career transitions and fertility and parenting struggles. I am particularly interested in working with clients from highly pressurised work environments, those who are dealing with relationship breakdowns, facing fertility struggles or encountering challenges navigating major life transitions. Given my own ethnic background, I am also keen to work with clients from migrant and ethnic minority backgrounds who are keen to explore their racial identity, cultural heritage and the challenges associated with these differences. Last but not least, I am very interested in working with clients who self-identify as highly sensitive and/or highly intelligent who may be having difficulty understanding and making most of their sensitivity and intensity.
My professional training is predominantly in Humanistic-Existential therapy, although I am also heavily influenced by psychodynamic thinking and CBT constructs. Essentially, I practice eclectically, drawing on a wide range of therapeutic interventions, psychological knowledge and life experience to tailor the therapy to meet your needs.
